Job Description:
We are searching for a purchaser that is detail oriented with good analytical and communication skills both written and verbal.
The purchaser's duties will include conducting market research, building a network of reliable vendors and build partnerships with these vendors and negotiating the best contracts.
You should have strong computer and communication skills and be able to work in a fast-paced team environment.
Purchaser Duties and
Responsibilities:
o Conducting research on potential products, vendors, and services, and comparing price and quality to ensure the best deal.
o Meeting with vendors and clients to negotiate the best contracts.
o Liaising with Vendors, delivery and warehouse teams to ensure due dates are updated and goods are received on time.
o Monitoring inventory and writing orders or transfers to refill stock.
o Reviewing inventory levels and requesting counts from stores when deemed necessary.
o Updating costs and retails in a timely mannero Review of Low margin reports to identify issues and address.
o Inspecting purchased products upon delivery and reporting any issues timely.
o Updating all records of purchased products.
o Writing reports on purchases made and performing cost analyses.
o Attending and contributing to meetings with staff and other stakeholders.
o Attending events, shows, and exhibitions to network with vendors and view new products.
Purchaser Requirements:
o High school diploma.
o Practical experience with purchasing software and Microsoft Excel.
o Strong analytical skills.
o Sound research and networking skills.
o Great written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
o Able to work in a fast paced environment.
o Enjoy working in a Group setting and team environment.
The candidate must be willing to submit to a pre-employment drug screen and physical.
