Lab TechYOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe primary responsibilities of this role, Lab Tech, are to:
Performs analyses of raw materials, packaging materials, bulk, intermediate, and finished products; Determines conformance to accepted specifications for a particular chemical or physical property; Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures; Performs troubleshooting and calibration of instruments; Prepares reagents, solutions, and standards; Maintain instruments, and apparatus according to established procedures to support testing activities of the unit; Interprets and modifies chromatograms, as well as integration appropriately; Interprets results based on trends, specification limits, and comparison data; Conducts lab analyses and communicates with customers in a professional environment.

More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications Math skills necessary to perform analytical calculations; Excellent oral & written communication skills; Knowledge of basic laboratory techniques and instrumentation; Experience in a laboratory using chromatographic instruments; Valid Drivers' License and eligibility to drive a company car or pooled vehicle (driving record must meet guidelines based on the company's Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers and MVR will be reviewed as part of pre-employment screening).
Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's (BS or BA) degree; Associate degree (AA) in Chemistry or Three years analytical lab experience in a manufacturing environment or three years Bayer Luling production experience; Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
) Strong preference to individuals with appropriate skills and working knowledge of HPLC, IC, GC, GC/MS, or LC/MS systems.
