Charles Parish Public Schools is looking for a qualified Technician to install, service and maintain commercial refrigeration and kitchen equipment.
Responsibilities:
Preventative and reparative maintenance on refrigerators, walk in freezers, steamers, ovens, dishwashers, kettles, slicers, mixers, etc.
Coordinate with assigned lead and/or supervisor and other trades for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently.
Diagnose cause of problems/failures in the refrigeration systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and/or systems repair and/or replacement needs.
Dismantles malfunctioning systems and tests components using electrical and mechanical testing equipment for the purpose of ensuring that refrigeration equipment is repaired in a timely fashion.
Informs personnel regarding procedures and/or status of work orders for the purpose of providing information for making decisions, taking appropriate action and/or complying with health and safety regulation.
Requirements:
High school diploma, equivalent, or the ability to obtain diploma or equivalent within six (6) months of employment.
Specialized technical courses in a vocational or community college program that includes refrigeration:
Type I & II CFC certification; Basic Electricity and Basic Electronics OR acceptable experience within related field.
3 years' experience in Mechanical and/or Electrical control work Ability to lift 30 lbs Organizational and supervisory skills Ability to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
